"Hiya folks,

Well we had a BIG squad day last year for the end of the year squad day. Thought I might try to have another one this year.

Dec. 13th would be the date. It will begin Sunday morning and go throughout the day to try to accomodate all the time zones we have.

we'll run Fighter sweeps and some bomber escorts. Do some massive GV raids and generally just have a big time.

Before I go and try to set things up I would like to know who would be up for it. We could possibly get Yarbles bunch (I thought this could be the squads new name ) online that day and do some MASSIVE Bomber/Fighter sweeps porking and killing stuff all over.
Try to keep things on a semi historical basis. US Planes (bombers and escorts) British planes (bombers and escorts) etc....

Try some coordinated meetings in areas of the maps where the buffs leave a base and get to alt and the escorts meet em there like in WW2.

Do some REAL Formation type flying cover....Some Carrier ops.

Just generally cause a rukus in the arena.

First of all 13dec is a saturday. On Sunday the 14th im up for it until 2PM EST when hopefully SEC will have a go again.

As of right now. I have nothing else planned... My wife's sister got engaged so they'll be out dress shopping and all that other b.s. leaving me home alone to assist in causing havok!

I actually thought it was funny and not to be taken seriously (Brit self effacing Humour) There is a serious point here in that it reflects the fact that I organsied a scrimmage with them and got them involved on Sunday. When I post on their site I have the Precision sign next to my name and they know we are Precision. Now why dont you stop whingeing and organise something

Actually Medic you do allot of missions I think but not in the time when I am on so I shouldn't complain. In general though it would be good if people did try and put some more things together.

I am hearing allot of its boring and not like it used to be. Its everyones squad and everyone has to put something in.

I may not be there in time as I am away that weekend but will be back on late evening here late afternoon where you are.

How about you get into organising this one Ean maybe with my dear friend Medic. Ill give you any help you want and get you all chummy with the 71st. I would start by trying to find out how many are in, maybe use the 2pm EST as kick off time (seems to work best), put a more ambitious strat plan together and invvolve the 71st in bombers as well as fighters.

They were very impressed with the last one and will probably be up for it again. I would go for a flexible plan which will work over limited objectives independantly but can be adapted if the 71st are in. I.E. maybe do the factories and leave room for them to do the city and HQ.

If you want to discuss a plan we shoud do it on the AH2 Precision site for confidentiality I think.

Montgomery was a better general then Patton.

Montgomery was an excellent Army commander...but a fair, at best, Army Group commander. The best Army commander in the UK Army was Slim, bar none.

Yarbles, sent you and Medic p.m's about getting the planning going on this.

Both of them were primadonas.....Patton was a better Group commander but Montgomery was suited for on the field as a division commander.
